Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our team in Rockford, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and modification of tools, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong machining skills and experience working with precision tools to support production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, repair, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to produce precision components.
• Inspect and test completed tools for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to develop and improve tooling solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of tool designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot tool-related issues on the shop floor and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in tool making or machining preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in operating CNC machines, mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation skills.
• Solid understanding of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
