Volt is immediately hiring for Mold Maker in Buffalo Grove, IL.

As a Mold Maker you will:

  • Comply with ISO:9001 standard.
  • Plan sequence of operations for mold construction
  • Detail all additional work authorized by the Project Work Order
  • Responsible for the quality of work; Maintain ongoing inspection for work pieces
  • Assembly all the mold components and verify proper tool function
  • Read blueprints of the mold and plastic piece part and verify specifications
  • Need to know Solidworks software and learn how to use Jobpack
  • Work with the design engineering department to assure the mold drawings are "As Build"
  • Support with knowledge all the apprentices
  • Follow all company Safety policies and procedures
  • Required to assist with mold repair concerns.

This is a full time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Associate's degree or equivalent apprenticeship and/or education preferred.
  • 5 years minimum experience in mold manufacturing required.


Pay Rate: $27.49 - $38.00 (Hours 6:00 am – 2:30 pm M- F potential OT) *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
