Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe're looking for an experienced machinist for a Start-up machine operation to assume daily programming, setup, program proofing and estimating responsibilities on day shift. The machinist would perform the following duties on a daily basis: write new programs, prove out programming, determine tooling status and life span, set-up and run jobs; fill out shop inspection forms and provide status updates throughout each day to the Production Manager; focus on achieving estimated program, setup and run times; perform routine maintenance when needed and clean/organize work area and tools; assist in training an operator/apprentice, assist with estimating new machining projects. Many jobs are short runs, from 1-50 parts on average, with occasional runs from 100-500 pieces. Materials are typically 41XX Steel Q&T, Mild Steel , Stainless Steel, Aluminum, High Performance Plastics and occasionally other exotic materials.
Needed Experience: (do not apply if you do not meet all required experience needs)
· 4+ years writing CNC programs in MasterCam.
· 4+ years of proofing programs and communicating with programmer(s).
· 4+ years setting up CNC lathes with Fanuc based controls.
· 4+ years setting up CNC mills with Fanuc based controls.
· 6+ years operating CNC equipment.
· 6+ years inspecting parts to print using calipers, micrometers & height gauges, etc.
· Capable of consistently achieving +/- .003" results.
· Capable of hitting +/-.0005" when required per print.
Not Required But Useful Experience:
· Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD software.
· Training machine operators and inspectors.
· Spanish Speaking.

Compensation:
$27-$31 per hour - commensurate upon experience.
OCCASIONAL OVERTIME IS REQUIRED
