About the Opportunity:
Are you passionate about becoming a master distiller? This is a rare, hands-on apprenticeship for a motivated individual ready to learn the art and science of distilling in a professional work-study environment. At our operational craft distillery, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge from a top master distiller and professional liquor industry consultant. Currently producing small-batch vodka, gin, rum, and bourbon, we have the facilities to make a wide variety of distilled spirits. We offer an immersive setting for an apprentice dedicated to building expertise and playing a future role in our team and brand.

Position Overview:
This role is ideal for an intelligent, driven individual between the ages of 21-30 who wants to pursue a long-term career in craft distilling. Over a 3-5 year structured training program, you’ll develop mastery in production planning, ingredient measurement, distilling processes, and equipment operation. On-site housing is included in compensation, enabling full engagement in this unique, learning-intensive role. The apprenticeship starts with a modest base salary, with clear, significant pay progression as you gain skills and expertise. Responsibilities:

  • Production Support: Under expert supervision, learn every stage of spirit production, from calculating ingredient volumes and running equipment to monitoring the distilling process with precision.
  • Quality Control & Cleanliness: Ensure the highest quality standards in every batch by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and performing regular equipment checks and maintenance.
  • Record-Keeping & Compliance: Develop meticulous record-keeping skills to meet federal and state regulations, gaining insights into the legal aspects of craft distilling.
  • Physical & Technical Operations: Manage the physical demands of the job, including transferring large volumes of material, handling distillery equipment, and conducting essential production tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Physically fit, with the strength and stamina to work in a hands-on production environment
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to mastering every facet of the craft
  • Strong interest in the distilling process and a desire to progress to a master distiller role
  • Basic math and measurement skills; comfortable with precise calculations and documentation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
